Some of the topics covered will be Behavioral Definitions (Identifying Behavioral Disorders and Types with Role Plays); Cycle of Violence; Legal Trends (History from 1935 to Present Covering Child-Custody); The Batterer’s Continuum (From Remorseful to Sporadic, to Serial Batterers); Statutes (Legal and Non-Legal Definitions); Ethics; Screening Tools (Hands on Use); and Exit Plans. The course will assist in meeting the education requirements of the Supreme Court for Child-Custody mediators.
