40-Hour Basic Family Mediation
Taught by Bob Collins - Bob Collins has received such high acclaim that we have invited him back to teach the basic family mediation course for over 15 years. Bob has thirty-five
years experience as a practicing family mediator, and is a Professor of Practice and the founding Director of the Divorce Mediation Clinic at Cardozo Law School. Bob has been the recipient of a Distinguished Faculty Award from the Ackerman Institute for the Family, and of a Cardozo Law School Inspire Award for his teaching. A popular mediation trainer of both practicing attorneys and therapists as well as law students, Bob has taught family mediation
throughout the United States, as well as in South American, England, and Asia.
Basic Family Mediation is a 40-hour course designed for those who wish to practice family mediation or become better equipped to counsel and represent people in family
matters. The course is structured as a comprehensive, practical and dynamic blend of lectures, discussions, exercises and role-play. Collins brings to the course over 30 years’ experience and insights for negotiating support, tools for bringing closure to negotiations, information
on ethical issues of practice, and answers to the practical questions of starting as a mediator.

A seven (7) days’ notice is required if you must cancel your registration. You will receive a full refund, less a $75 administration fee. There is no refund for cancellations received less than seven days before the start of the training. Substitutes allowed.
On-site registration and sign-ins are Monday, May 13 from 7:00 to 8 a.m.
FEES: $1025 Fees cover the cost of course materials, continental breakfast and certificate of completion.
LODGING: Not included.
CREDIT: Approval for Idaho CLE credits pending. Idaho Continuing Education Units (CEUs), a nationally recognized measure of professional development, may be available
upon request with at least two weeks advanced notice from the University of Idaho.
