FORTY-HOUR BASIC MEDIATION CLASS WITH CO-PARENTING FOCUS
This foundational mediation class was designed for the professional wanting to enhance their current career choice or begin pursuing a career in mediation. This course curriculum is lecture and open discussion, supplemented with over 16 hours of interactive learning activities and role-plays. The following skills are the primary focus of this class:
(a) Communication skills (inclusive of using SKYPE; (b) active listening skills; (c) Conflict resolution theory; (d) psychological issues in separation, divorce, and family dynamics; (e) domestic violence; (f)mediation process and techniques; (g) civil dispute negotiation proficiency; (h) family law, (i) professional ethics. Completion of the class will qualify participants with appropriate post graduate credentials for consideration and placement on the Idaho State Supreme Court’s Child Custody Roster, as per Idaho Rules of Family Law Procedure 602. Certified by the Idaho State Bar, 39.75 MCLEs course #19-1954.
WHEN: February 8th, 9th, & 10th; Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.The second session is February 22nd, 23rd & 24th; Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

CANCELLATION / NO SHOW POLICY: If a participant withdraws from the class with a
Valid reason, 15 days prior to the first class, a full refund will be issued. If a participant
withdraws from the class 10 days prior to the class only 1/2 of the registration fee will be
refunded. No refunds will be issued if a participant withdraws from the class less than 7
days prior to the first class.
