40 Hour Basic Family Mediation
Basic Family Mediation is a 40-hour course designed for those who wish to practice family mediation or become better equipped to counsel and represent people in family matters. The course is structured as a comprehensive, practical and dynamic blend of lectures, discussions, exercises and role-play. Bob Collins brings over 30 years of experience and insights for negotiating support, tools for bringing closure to negotiations, information on ethical issues of practice and answers to the practical questions of starting as a mediator. What you will learn: • How to utilize 36 practical mediation techniques • Tips on making parenting problems palatable • Easy answers to difficult divorce questions • Helpful insights into negotiation motivations in divorce • Creative approaches to child and spousal support • Avoiding tax traps in family re-organizations • Applying mediation to family disputes and pre-nuptial negotiations
