ADVANCED FORTY-HOUR BASIC MEDIATION CLASS WITH CO-PARENTING FOCUS - Second Session

This foundational mediation class was designed for those that want to enhance their current career choice or begin pursuing a career in mediation. The course curriculum is lecture and open discussion, supplemented with over 16 hours of interactive learning activities and role plays. The following skills are the primary focus of this class. (a) Communication skills; (b) active listening skills; (c) Conflict resolution theory; (d) psychological issues in separation, divorce, and family dynamics; (e) domestic violence; (f) mediation process and techniques; (g)civil dispute negotiation proficiency; (h) family law, (i) professional ethics.
Both sessions must be attended to receive certification. Completion of the class will qualify participants with appropriate post graduate credentials for consideration and placement on the Idaho State Supreme Court’s Child Custody Roster as per Idaho Rules of Family Law Procedure 602 & 603. CANCELLATION / NO SHOW POLICY: If a participant withdraws from the class 10 days prior to the class only 1/2 of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds will be issued if a participant withdraws from the class less than 7 days prior to the first class.
