This class has been designed to meet the needs in our society of the fastest growing population, senior citizens. Presenting issues in adult family conversations often prompt family members, caregivers, medical staff, and attorneys in turning more frequently to trained professional mediators to assist facilitators in productive decision making conversations. Certified by the Idaho Mediation Association.
You will learn: Principles of Mediation and the Six Steps in Adult Mediation. Characteristics of Eldercare Mediation: Case Development Strategies: Elder/Adult Abuse and How to Screen for abuse: How to screen for client competence: Examples of Level of Care and the differences in care services/community resources: Pre-mediation case development: Crafting durable Agreements. Pre-registration is required.
