Anyone thinking of pursuing a career in mediation, or wanting to add mediation skills to their current job skill set, should take the 20-Hour Co-Parenting/Child Custody Mediation Training. This course is certified by IMA for 20 hours of specialized certification training as specified in Rule J (16). The standards required for this type of training include: Conflict Resolution Theory; psychological issues in separation, divorce and family dynamics; Screening for Domestic Violence; Issues and needs of children; Mediation processes and techniques; Family law, including custody and child support calculation; Ethics and preventing ethical dilemmas; and Interactive situational role-play. A text is required; training manuals and handouts will be provided by the instructors.

August 15-17, 2014
Friday night 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., and Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Cost:

$375.00, or $350.00 (early-bird registration if mailed by July 10, 2014)

CANCELLATION / NO SHOW POLICY: If a participant withdraws from the class with a valid reason, 15 days prior to the first class, a full refund will be issued. If a participant withdraws from the class 7 days prior to the class only 1/2 of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds will be issued if a participant withdraws from the class less than 7 days prior to the first class. These terms are negotiable.
